Nurturing Our Students

At WESc, our intent will be to treat every student as an individual and develop their intellectual, emotional, social, physical, artistic, creative and spiritual potential.  In addition, our students will learn the importance of personal and collective responsibility.

Our boarding houses will become a home away from home, with two sets of residential house parents running and looking after each house to ensure the mental and emotional well-being of every individual.  In addition, each student will also have his or her own personal tutor to support, encourage and monitor progress.

There will be a student peer mentoring system, providing an extra layer of support, helping to nurture the collective responsibility aspects of school life.

In the early years, students will share a room of four, while the oldest students will have their own single room with en-suite facilities.

These will be complemented by communal areas which foster student interaction and house spirit and will be equipped with an attentive in-house medical team. We make sure our students inhabit a space that is warm, welcoming and brings out the best in them.

There will also be one onsite, fully staffed and well equipped medical centre to provide health care, advice and support.
